Qualification:-

Technician Grade-I Signal – B.Sc in Physics/ Electronics/ Computer Science OR – Diploma in Engineering (Electronics/ Electrical/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Instrumentation) from a recognized University/ Institute.

Technician Grade III        – 10th Pass (Matriculation) AND-  ITI Certificate (NCVT/SCVT approved) in relevant trade such as:– Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Diesel, Instrument Mechanic, etc.

Note: Final year candidates are not eligible unless they have completed the qualification by the closing date of application.

Salary:-

The salary for RRB Technician posts is structured according to the 7th Pay Commission, ensuring a stable income along with attractive government allowances. The Technician Grade-I Signal post falls under Pay Level 5, with a basic pay of ₹29,200 per month. After including allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance, the total in-hand salary comes to approximately ₹40,000 to ₹45,000 per month.

On the other hand, the Technician Grade III post comes under Pay Level 2, with a basic pay of ₹19,900 per month. Including all applicable allowances, the monthly in-hand salary for this post ranges between ₹30,000 to ₹35,000.

In addition to the monthly salary, selected candidates will also be entitled to various benefits such as medical facilities, pension under the National Pension System (NPS), job security, and promotion opportunities through departmental exams. The salary may slightly vary depending on the city of posting (X, Y, or Z class cities), but overall, these posts offer a financially rewarding and stable government career.
